Goals

The BioImage DMS Core pursues the following goals:

1. Support individual labs and imaging core facilities across the UMass Five Campuses to ensure the production and stewardship of bio-image data that meets the highest available community standards for rigor, reproducibility, and re-use value, including the following data governance principles:
   1. FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable).
   2. CARE (Collective Benefit, Authority to Control, Responsibility, and Ethics), and
   3. TRUST (Transparency, Responsibility, User focus, Sustainability, and Technology).
2. Assure compliance with all institutional, state, and federal policies related to research data (e.g., NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy).
