| Elective Description: Learn to assess and manage critically ill pediatric patients. Gain an understanding of invasive and non-invasive management of acute respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurologic failure. Begin to apply knowledge of physiology to real-life situations. Appreciate the importance of multi-disciplinary care of critically ill children, including psychosocial interactions with families. |
