[BLOCK TYPE] Profiles Faculty Listing Block - department view
This block is used to display a list of UMass faculty that exist in Profiles.umassmed.edu. Profiles includes faculty from UMass Chan, Baystate and Lowell campuses. The list can be filtered to display by institution (school), department or division. Other options include setting a limit on how many faculty to display, include pagination or set the sort order to first name, last name, or also group by department or division.

Dr. Almeida focuses on uncovering the molecular mechanisms underlying frontotemporal dementia (FTD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Her research leverages patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines to create neuronal models that closely mimic disease conditions. -

Dr. Bella has a special interest in the clinical, electromyographic and pathological aspects of neuromuscular disorders. Bella is the primary investigator at UMass for the multicenter study "Arrhythmias in Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy". -
Idanis Berrios Morales, MD, is a board-certified neurologist and educator with clinical subspecialty training in neuroimmunology and multiple sclerosis. Her research interest is shared decision making in patients with multiple sclerosis. -
