Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration "Mujeres Luchadoras: Labor and its impact on immigrant Latina health"

Event Description
You are invited to the Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration virtual event, featuring Ashley Gomez, PhD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Pittsburgh. Her dissertation used an intersectional lens to examine the relationship between work, migration, gender and health among the Latin population in the United States. More recently, she has been working on a project which studies how immigrant Latina-owned businesses were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Gomez has experience working with federal and local government agencies, nonprofits, and community-based organizations tackling societal inequities with a focus on Latinos in the U.S.
