Dr. Ayorkor Gaba, a Clinical Psychologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Implementation Science and Practice Advances Research Center (iSPARC), at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical school as well as the Director of the Equity Division at the Massachusetts Center of Excellence for Specialty Courts and the Behavioral Health Equity Advancement Lab (B-HEAL). Dr. Gaba’s research aims to inform programs, practices, and policies to eradicate behavioral health and health care disparities, foster structural change, and enhance community engagement in research. She brings an implementation science, systems, and social justice lens to her work. Her current work is at the intersection of health equity and health justice, behavioral health, and the criminal legal system. Dr. Gaba is also a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) NGO team at United Nations (UN), where she works with a team of APA appointed psychologists to develop psychologically informed policies, programs, and practices to advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
