Katherine grew up in Petaluma, California and received her BA from Clark University in 2022. Having worked in Craig Mello’s lab for 3.5 years as an undergraduate intern, upon graduating in 2022, Katie began working for Anastasia Khvorova and Julia Alterman as a research associate. Katie’s work focuses on (1) chemical optimization of siRNAs for the delivery to the immune system and (2) sustained delivery of novel siRNA chemical scaffolds to the musculoskeletal system, specifically the joint and bone. In her free time, Katie enjoys running, biking, and playing the cello and piano.
